Waldemar Motta in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Robinho Cruz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Grêmio dos Canudos EC's Dito Aparecido got a free kick in the 34th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Aquidauananese's Gláuber Simão tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Robinho Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Pedro Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonardo Mattos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. João Pedro Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Waldemar Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Cruz having to interfere. Vivaldo Batista struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Frank Valladares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aquidauananese. Frank Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Valladares made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Vivaldo Batista sent off a good shot on target. After 74 minutes of play, Grêmio dos Canudos EC's João Pedro Pernambucano made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robinho Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd minute João Pedro Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dênis Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 87thth minute of the game Leonardo Mattos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio dos Canudos EC's Frank Valladares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wanderson Hoffmann charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wanderson Hoffmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th match minute, Aquidauananese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wanderson Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. João Pedro Pernambucano struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Robinho Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio dos Canudos EC. Leonardo Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Aquidauananese players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Grêmio dos Canudos EC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
