Spectators: 7177 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 100) Grêmio dos Canudos EC's João Pedro Pernambucano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes of play, Grêmio dos Canudos EC's Dito Aparecido made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flávio Bittencourt was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio dos Canudos EC's zone, Eleuterio Urko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Valladares came out of the goal and Eleuterio Urko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enzo Avesani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Délio Paes charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Délio Paes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 13 played minutes Grêmio dos Canudos EC got a freekick which was hit by Délio Paes. UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE's Enzo Avesani got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frank Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Avesani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Avesani in the 18th minute of play forced Grêmio dos Canudos EC's goalkeeper Frank Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Dito Aparecido kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Flávio Bittencourt. That made the score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. Flávio Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro Pernambucano in the 25th minute of play. Waldemar Motta took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flávio Bittencourt. Flávio Bittencourt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 30 minutes into the match, UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE's goal looked a bit too open when João Pedro Pernambucano came free, but Flávio Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Rony Tande hit a great ball. The supporters of UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE booed when Grêmio dos Canudos EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dito Aparecido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waldemar Motta succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 40th playminute. Frank Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Urko in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute Dito Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dênis Pires scored 5-0 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flávio Bittencourt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Eleuterio Urko made the kick off in the second half. Júnior Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcus Cerezo during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio dos Canudos EC's zone, Eleuterio Urko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Valladares came out of the goal and Eleuterio Urko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dito Aparecido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flávio Bittencourt came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio dos Canudos EC's Waldemar Motta. But to his dismay, Waldemar Motta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. In the 80th match minute, UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE's Flávio Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Motta in the 82nd minute of play. When Eleuterio Urko came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eleuterio Urko couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute, Dito Aparecido made a precise shot to the right of Flávio Bittencourt. UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. In the 94th minute, Chico Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flávio Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro Pernambucano in the 99th minute of play. Flávio Bittencourt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Motta in the 100th minute of the match. UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
