Giovanni Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredinho Pitta in the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Cardoso in the 6th minute of play forced Clube 2 de Agosto's goalkeeper Giovanni Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clube 2 de Agosto's Giovanni Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredinho Pitta in the 7th minute of play. After having played for 10 minutes, Alfredinho Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BIRMINGHAM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredinho Pitta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredinho Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Sousa having to interfere. Giovanni Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Cardoso in the 16th minute of the match. Giovanni Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredinho Pitta, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Rony Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Sousa having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Rony Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clube 2 de Agosto's Giovanni Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Cardoso in the 29th minute of play. When Natã Souza fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube 2 de Agosto's protests and gave Natã Souza a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of BIRMINGHAM booed when Clube 2 de Agosto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natã Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Rony Cardoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giovanni Sousa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Gilmar Goiano struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Giovanni Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BIRMINGHAM. Rony Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Giovanni Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. BIRMINGHAM's Alfredinho Pitta got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rony Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Clube 2 de Agosto players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BIRMINGHAM were winning 0-1.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Rony Cardoso got free with Giovanni Sousa in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredinho Pitta in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giovanni Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rony Cardoso in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giovanni Sousa saved Clube 2 de Agosto from getting behind. Rony Cardoso struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Giovanni Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BIRMINGHAM. Giovanni Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rony Cardoso in the 64th minute. Giovanni Sousa was a little too slow when Alfredinho Pitta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-2. Rony Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Giovanni Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rony Cardoso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Giovanni Sousa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clube 2 de Agosto's goalkeeper Giovanni Sousa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Agostinho Penha fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 94th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. BIRMINGHAM's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
