But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulinho Simões couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Sapopema SS booed when Peripiri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Alberto Siqueira in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabrício Ceresso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hugo Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Fabrício Ceresso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over Peripiri could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sapopema SS throughout the match.
