An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Gustavo Melo in the 5th minute of play forced VIRAGOS FOOT BALL CLUB's goalkeeper Ricardinho Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alessandro Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Maurício Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Paraibano in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ricardinho Paraíba, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Gláuber Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, VIRAGOS FOOT BALL CLUB's Tiago Gabriel Bueno got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Roger Paraibano made a precise shot to the right of Ricardinho Paraíba. VIRAGOS FOOT BALL CLUB's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Ricardinho Paraíba made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Roger Paraibano sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horácio Prado to make the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Paraibano couldn't finish the play. Ricardinho Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Roger Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ricardinho Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júnior Palmeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Maurício Tande made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horácio Prado in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardinho Paraíba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ricardinho Paraíba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horácio Prado's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute, Roger Paraibano made a precise shot to the right of Ricardinho Paraíba. VIRAGOS FOOT BALL CLUB's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. With a little luck, CR Vasco da Gama's Maurício Tande got control of the ball when Júnior Palmeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. CR Vasco da Gama's Horácio Prado got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The CR Vasco da Gama fans cheered their team off the field, for while VIRAGOS FOOT BALL CLUB had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
