Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Kuuno Laadi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Faustão Teles hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cabo Frio booed when Sophia AJ Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustão Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yan Mello in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Baptista saved Sophia AJ Clube from getting behind. Yan Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Baptista having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Manuel Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yan Mello in the 32nd minute of play forced Sophia AJ Clube's goalkeeper Richard Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sophia AJ Clube's Richard Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válter Alves in the 36th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renatinho Vinhas in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kuuno Laadi saved Cabo Frio from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 51st minute, Cabo Frio's Válter Alves dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. In the 56thth minute of the game Yan Mello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sophia AJ Clube's Richard Baptista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yan Mello struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Richard Baptista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabo Frio. Válter Alves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Richard Baptista made a huge save. 63 minutes in the game, Yan Mello fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Richard Baptista having to interfere. Válter Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renatinho Vinhas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yan Mello in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard Baptista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Richard Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Mello in the 85th minute of the match. Kuuno Laadi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Netto in the 87th minute of play. Faustão Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Sophia AJ Clube:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cabo Frio:s goal. The referee gave Cabo Frio a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Izak De Keijsere, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sophia AJ Clube's Richard Baptista. 0-3. When the final whistle sounded Cabo Frio left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sophia AJ Clube.
