Cabo Frio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yan Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruno Aparecido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yan Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The wind increased when Régis Quintal made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Yan Mello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th match minute, Gangsters FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeu Vides to maneuver through the defense. When Yan Mello came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Cabo Frio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yan Mello couldn't finish the play. Luís Fernando Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Kuuno Laadi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the game, Válter Alves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cabo Frio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gangsters FC the free kick. Válter Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cabo Frio's Dorival Carioca got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Caco Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Yan Mello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Aparecido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
