Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Régis Quintal took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Gangsters FC's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Prado came free, but Bruno Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredão Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Sandrinho Fernandez, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Amadeu Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Gangsters FC's Bruno Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Prado in the 9th minute of play. José Carlos Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. When Luís Fernando Ceresso, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 16 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Maurício Tande was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Gangsters FC's Bruno Aparecido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Gangsters FC from getting a goal against them. Bruno Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Fernando Ceresso might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maurício Tande. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Fernando Ceresso ran back to his position shaking his head. Régis Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Tande having to interfere. Horácio Prado might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Aparecido. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horácio Prado ran back to his position shaking his head. Bruno Aparecido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roger Paraibano in the 29th minute. In the 34th minute, Régis Quintal made a precise shot to the right of Maurício Tande. CR Vasco da Gama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gangsters FC's Régis Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Luiz Fabiano Veiga fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CR Vasco da Gama's protests and gave Luiz Fabiano Veiga a yellow card for diving instead. Luiz Fabiano Veiga hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Gangsters FC's Inácio Cearense tried to score from far away in the 46th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 48 minutes, Luís Fernando Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gangsters FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Fernando Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Gangsters FC's zone, Roger Paraibano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Aparecido came out of the goal and Roger Paraibano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Régis Quintal fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gangsters FC's protests and gave Régis Quintal a yellow card for diving instead. CR Vasco da Gama's Sandrinho Fernandez couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 58th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gangsters FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Paraibano in the 61st minute of play forced Gangsters FC's goalkeeper Bruno Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute of the match, Régis Quintal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Maurício Tande saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Horácio Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Amadeu Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Régis Quintal was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 79 minutes had been played. 82 minutes into the match, CR Vasco da Gama's Horácio Prado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Aparecido narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 87 minutes, Roger Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CR Vasco da Gama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruno Aparecido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horácio Prado's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. The supporters of CR Vasco da Gama booed when Gangsters FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gangsters FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
