The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute José Paulo Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Faccio Club booed when TodoTorto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Aníbal Guedes fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Faccio Club's protests and gave Aníbal Guedes a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes Faccio Club got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Guedes. In the 8th minute of the match, Jefferson Paraíba tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juvenal da Rocha saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 15th minute Marquinhos de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, José Paulo Couto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Faccio Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo Couto in the 19th minute of play forced TodoTorto FC's goalkeeper Olívio Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Faccio Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos de Salles to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Jorge Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Marquinhos de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Paulo Couto took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olívio Teixeira. Olívio Teixeira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Olívio Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Paulo Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Alcântara in the 34th minute of play forced TodoTorto FC's goalkeeper Olívio Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juvenal da Rocha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodriguinho de Medeiros in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Kaká de Castro notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of TodoTorto FC's Olívio Teixeira. Olívio Teixeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Donato Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Paulo Couto was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Faccio Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Marquez came free, but Juvenal da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olívio Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Paulo Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in TodoTorto FC's zone, Marquinhos de Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olívio Teixeira came out of the goal and Marquinhos de Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. TodoTorto FC's Olívio Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Paulo Couto in the 67th minute of play. After some careless play in the Faccio Club defense, Donato Soeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juvenal da Rocha. The Faccio Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juvenal da Rocha should have stopped the shot. In the 78th minute, José Paulo Couto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Olívio Teixeira. The goal made the score 1-5. Faccio Club's Juvenal da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodriguinho de Medeiros in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Donato Soeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, TodoTorto FC's Donato Soeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal da Rocha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jorge Marquez struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Juvenal da Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TodoTorto FC. Rodriguinho de Medeiros came free in the 93rd minute and tried to tip the ball over Juvenal da Rocha, but to the joy of Faccio Club's supporters the ball went over. 96 minutes into the match, Faccio Club's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Soeiro came free, but Juvenal da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chants of Faccio Club echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as TodoTorto FC had held the ball for most of the match.
