Jonas Paiva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcel de Amorim succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 64th playminute. In the 71st minute of the match Acare got a corner. Viela Paulista FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vitório Galvão ran over to the corner to take the kick. Albertinho de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeu Aguiar in the 80th minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Pedro Fantini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonas Paiva. Viela Paulista FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Fantini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 91st minute, Vitório Galvão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Viela Paulista FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Acare were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
