Simão Peres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renan Tasso went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 23rd minute, Emerson Rosado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kauã Seco. The goal made the score 1-3. Cauã da Rocha's late challenge caught a CORNOS FUTEBOL CLUBE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cauã da Rocha helped the player get up and apologised. Cauã da Rocha hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Simão Peres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renan Tasso's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 35th match minute, A. A. Francana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorginho Moura to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renan Tasso in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simão Peres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in A. A. Francana's zone, Fausto Maranhense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Peres came out of the goal and Fausto Maranhense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Renan Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot. CORNOS FUTEBOL CLUBE's supporters rose to their feet, but Renan Tasso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Peres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Renan Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, A. A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério Gaúcho came free, but Simão Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan Tasso in the 47th minute of play forced A. A. Francana's goalkeeper Simão Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
