Arnaldo Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willian Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Kiko Valladares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnaldo Santana was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The Jaguaribara EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tales de Sousa was the one to do the kick off. Tales de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Maia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui da Fonseca in the 58th minute. After 59 played minutes Jaguaribara EC got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Sampaio. Bernardo Maia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tales de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Bernardo Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Willian Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute Renatinho Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
