The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duda Alagoano helped the player get up and apologised. Alberto Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Panagiotis Kapiris hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Acare's zone, Caco Cerezo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertinho de Medeiros came out of the goal and Caco Cerezo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho Correia in the 20th minute of play forced Pomarola F C's goalkeeper Edgard de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Pedro Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Fantini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Acare's zone, Décio Abraão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertinho de Medeiros came out of the goal and Décio Abraão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Décio Abraão might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albertinho de Medeiros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Décio Abraão ran back to his position shaking his head. 43 minutes into the match, Acare's goal looked a bit too open when Caco Cerezo came free, but Albertinho de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Décio Abraão notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Acare's Albertinho de Medeiros. Albertinho de Medeiros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pedrinho Melo charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedrinho Melo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Pedro Fantini came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Acare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Fantini couldn't finish the play. Marcel de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard de Queirós having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Pomarola F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Melo to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Fantini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armando Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Edgard de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 91 minutes, Vitório Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitório Galvão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agostinho Correia in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard de Queirós saved Pomarola F C from getting behind. 97 minutes into the match, Pomarola F C's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Neiva came free, but Edgard de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Acare players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
