Spectators: 7171 (Terracing: 5380, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 142) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tales de Sousa made the kick off which started today's match. Acare's Pedro Fantini got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnaldo Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Severino Arruda in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Acare's Agostinho Correia. When Agostinho Correia came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Acare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agostinho Correia couldn't finish the play. Tales de Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Lembranca booed when Acare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Marcel de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Acare's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel de Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 28 minutes of play, Lembranca's Rui da Fonseca made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albertinho de Medeiros was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 34 minutes, Vitório Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitório Galvão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Pedro Fantini kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arnaldo Santana. That made the score 1-1 in the 35 minute of play. Pedro Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Santana having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Acare's Vitório Galvão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnaldo Santana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Acare getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Panagiotis Kapiris hit a great ball. If Pedro Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Pedro Fantini made the kick off in the second half. Arnaldo Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Fantini in the 52nd minute of play. In the 61st minute Pedro Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Santana having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Acare fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! If Marcel de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Lembranca's Fausto Leme got a free kick in the 77th minute. Albertinho de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tales de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panagiotis Kapiris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Santana having to interfere. Telmo de Carvalho made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Acare's Panagiotis Kapiris. In the 98th minute, Agostinho Correia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Acare fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
