A. Francana's goalkeeper Simão Peres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nilson Brito. Nilson Brito struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Simão Peres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibirarema.CiTy.F.C. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Hoffmann in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simão Peres saved A. A. Francana from getting behind. Jorginho Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in A. A. Francana's zone, João Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Peres came out of the goal and João Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nilson Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Simão Peres made a huge save. Sérgio Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Moura in the 32nd minute of play forced Ibirarema.CiTy.F.C's goalkeeper Benjamin Bezerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, João Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibirarema.CiTy.F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Hoffmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that João Hoffmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simão Peres was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorginho Moura to make the kick off. If João Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ibirarema.CiTy.F.C fully deserved thier win.
