Goitacazes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renan Tasso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Pedro Luiz de Sousa came out of the goal and Fausto Maranhense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Renan Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59thth minute of the game Renan Tasso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goitacazes's Pedro Luiz de Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Goitacazes's Pedro Luiz de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renan Tasso in the 61st minute of play. Alexsandro Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Kauã Seco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
