Spectators: 6460 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 60) 7 minutes into the match, Pedrinho Melo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonas Paiva. Viela Paulista FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedrinho Melo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After having played for 11 minutes, Juvenal Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viela Paulista FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juvenal Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 13 minutes of play, Viela Paulista FC's Romeu Aguiar made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard de Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute Décio Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Décio Abraão in the 25th minute of play. Décio Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jonas Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pomarola F C's zone, Romeu Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard de Queirós came out of the goal and Romeu Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the game, Pedrinho Melo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pomarola F C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Viela Paulista FC the free kick. Delfim Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Juvenal Pereira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgard de Queirós having to make a save. When Décio Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Pomarola F C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Décio Abraão couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juvenal Pereira made a kick off. Romeu Aguiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Edgard de Queirós made a huge save. Décio Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jonas Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juvenal Pereira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. Viela Paulista FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Décio Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Romeu Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard de Queirós having to interfere. Duda Alagoano charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duda Alagoano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Romeu Aguiars short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Edgard de Queirós to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caco Cerezo in the 81st minute of play forced Viela Paulista FC's goalkeeper Jonas Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caco Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Décio Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pomarola F C's supporters rose to their feet, but Décio Abraão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Viela Paulista FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pomarola F C.
