David Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laerte Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Novaes in the 10th minute of play. Game of ThronesFC's Charles Novaes got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Mesquita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laerte Galvão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Laerte Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 21 played minutes Game of ThronesFC got a freekick which was hit by Doriva Vides. After a defensive mix-up in Santanna FC Clube's zone, David Mesquita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laerte Galvão came out of the goal and David Mesquita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laerte Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. David Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Galvão having to interfere. Hílton de Queirós hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Pedro Favoretto hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Santanna FC Clube's Laerte Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Novaes in the 38th minute of play. Doriva Vides took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laerte Galvão. Laerte Galvão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 47th minute, Charles Novaes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laerte Galvão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Vicente do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Veiga in the 61st minute of the match. Amadeu Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente do Vale having to interfere. Vicente do Vale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeferson Paranaense's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. 79 minutes into the game, David Mesquita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Laerte Galvão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Amadeu Veiga might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vicente do Vale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amadeu Veiga ran back to his position shaking his head. Amadeu Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Vicente do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 97 minutes, Amadeu Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santanna FC Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeu Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Game of ThronesFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Game of ThronesFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
