Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rui Cunha took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dorival Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Veiga in the 6th minute of play. Massape EC's Dorival Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Veiga in the 9th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Massape EC's zone, Jeferson Paranaense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorival Maciel came out of the goal and Jeferson Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeremias Terra hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Régis de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Laerte Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Víktor de Souza fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santanna FC Clube's protests and gave Víktor de Souza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, Santanna FC Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. When Jeremias Terra fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santanna FC Clube's protests and gave Jeremias Terra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Jeremias Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jeremias Terra was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 25 minutes had been played. In the 25th match minute, Santanna FC Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Terra to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Régis de Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laerte Galvão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 30 played minutes Santanna FC Clube got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Furtado. Régis de Amarals short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Laerte Galvão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Santanna FC Clube's zone, Régis de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laerte Galvão came out of the goal and Régis de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Régis de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Régis de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laerte Galvão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Amadeu Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 played minutes Massape EC got a freekick which was hit by João Simões. After 69 played minutes Massape EC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Cunha. With his leg Dorival Maciel managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Santanna FC Clube's Jeferson Paranaense fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 77th minute, Jeferson Paranaense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Régis de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laerte Galvão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Régis de Amaral's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. After 83 minutes of play, Massape EC's João Simões made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laerte Galvão was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Régis de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Massape EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Régis de Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laerte Galvão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Jeferson Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Santanna FC Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeferson Paranaense couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Massape EC's zone, Jeferson Paranaense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorival Maciel came out of the goal and Jeferson Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
