To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eusébio Tande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dida Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aílton Almeida having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Dida Neto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mororos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Gonçalense F.C booed when Mororos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eusébio Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Eusébio Tande made the kick off in the second half. Benjamim Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Zézinho de Senas short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Aílton Almeida to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Zézinho de Sena got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
