Spectators: 7258 (Terracing: 5445, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Dida Neto made the kick off which started today's match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Josué Camargo during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Josué Camargo hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Mororos defense, Ulisses Messias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamim Sanches. The Mororos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamim Sanches should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Limeira booed when Mororos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zézinho de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Ulisses Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulisses Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute, Ulisses Messias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Limeira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ulisses Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Benjamim Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Limeira's Wiliam Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dida Neto in the 25th minute of play. Zézinho de Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastião do Vale in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamim Sanches prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zézinho de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Bittencourt having to interfere. Dida Neto struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Wiliam Bittencourt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mororos. Zézinho de Sena scored 2-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wiliam Bittencourt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zézinho de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulisses Messias to make the kick off. Wiliam Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dida Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mororos's goalkeeper Benjamim Sanches, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 55 played minutes Mororos got a freekick which was hit by Cleiton Pires. After 57 played minutes Limeira got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan Moreno. Wiliam Bittencourt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dida Neto's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Gilvan Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Mororos's Zézinho de Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 67 minutes, Wilton Corrêa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Limeira and the Mororos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Limeira:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mororos:s goal. Miguel Abraão shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Zézinho de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Wiliam Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
