A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cleiton Pires during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dida Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Arlindo Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Mororos booed when Lobos Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 36 minutes Lobos Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Miguel Abraão who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Mororos's corner Miguel Abraão fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arlindo Favoretto quite easily take care of the ball. If Doni Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Afonso Barros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benjamim Sanches. The goal made the score 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Benjamim Sanches didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doni Freire went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. A very good chance. In the 74th minute Dida Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Favoretto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lobos Futebol Clube's Doni Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benjamim Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Barros in the 77th minute of play. Doni Freire struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Benjamim Sanches didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lobos Futebol Clube. In the 82nd minute, Afonso Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamim Sanches was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Freire in the 85th minute of play forced Mororos's goalkeeper Benjamim Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dida Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zézinho de Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Arlindo Favoretto made a huge save.
