After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Arí Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Faiz o B.O.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Arí Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Roberto Botelho charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Roberto Botelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, Imperium MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Roberto Botelho to maneuver through the defense. Zé Roberto Botelho took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tarcisio Sousa. Tarcisio Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The Faiz o B.O. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tarcisio Sousa should have stopped the shot. If Renan Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. With a little luck, Faiz o B.O.'s Tarcisio Sousa got control of the ball when Felippe Velasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
