Clockwork Orange's Diguinho Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anísio Barral in the 3rd minute of play. Wiliam Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aníbal Gomes having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Flavinho do Vale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Diguinho Galvão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Diguinho Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavinho do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavinho do Vale in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diguinho Galvão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Clockwork Orange's Wiliam Nogueira in the 29th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Aníbal Gomes was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Horizonte through an amazing save. Toninho Bertassi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clockwork Orange's Diguinho Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavinho do Vale in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Clockwork Orange's Ronaldão Paraense got a free kick in the 35th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dalmo Mattos during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th minute, Dalmo Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flavinho do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Clockwork Orange's Walmir Velloso got a free kick in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wiliam Nogueira made a kick off. After 56 minutes of play, Horizonte's Flavinho do Vale made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diguinho Galvão was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Flavinho do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diguinho Galvão didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 63rd minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. After some careless play in the Horizonte defense, Wiliam Nogueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aníbal Gomes. The Horizonte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aníbal Gomes should have stopped the shot. Anísio Barral received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Diguinho Galvão came out and tried to block the shot, but Anísio Barral slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 86th minute. A collision led to Clockwork Orange getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Ronaldão Paraense hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Anísio Barral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
