After 16 minutes of play, Jerumirim's Paulo José Guerra made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sérgio Tande was left in no man's land by his defense there! Délio Ferraz struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Sérgio Tande didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jerumirim. 23 minutes into the match, Coqueiros's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo José Guerra came free, but Sérgio Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34thth minute of the game Paulo José Guerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coqueiros's Sérgio Tande was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 35th minute, Marcinho Pinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jerumirim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 44 minutes into the match, Coqueiros's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Cerezo came free, but Sérgio Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo José Guerra made a kick off. In the 55th minute Júlio Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Paulão Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the game, Paulo José Guerra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sérgio Tande. Paulo José Guerra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo José Guerra during the 73rd minute. The Coqueiros fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Jerumirim were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
