After 18 minutes, Renato Perez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Imperium MZC and the RIO FUT 7 FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 21 minutes into the match, Imperium MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Duarte came free, but João de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in RIO FUT 7 FC's zone, Felippe Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luís Paranaense came out of the goal and Felippe Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caetano Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. João de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Caetano Duarte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João de Godoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With an all-out effort, Imperium MZC's Pedro Luís Paranaense threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Renan Falcão, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Felippe Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Caetano Duarte to strike the kick off in the second half. Caetano Duarte struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Pedro Luís Paranaense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João de Godoi was a little too slow when Ronaldão Braga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 1-2. Renan Falcão's late challenge caught a RIO FUT 7 FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renan Falcão helped the player get up and apologised. After 72 played minutes Imperium MZC got a freekick which was hit by Renan Falcão. The supporters of RIO FUT 7 FC booed when Imperium MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renan Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Caetano Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Imperium MZC's João de Godoi got control of the ball when Caetano Duarte tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Luís Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felippe Velasco in the 88th minute of the match. João de Godoi was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Ronaldão Braga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ronaldão Braga really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. RIO FUT 7 FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
