The audience thought a goal was coming when Chiquinho do Vale got free with Cléber Mello in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jânio Freitas scored 0-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gláuber Trancoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Pescoco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After 67 played minutes Pescoco got a freekick which was hit by Décio Tinoco.
