Adhemar Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Duarte in the 29th minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, David Esteves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luciano Magalhães. David Esteves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Zé Carlos Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, David Esteves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luciano Magalhães, 2-0. Supremacia Nerd FC's Gugu do Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vágner Torres to strike the kick off in the second half. When Eliseu Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Supremacia Nerd FC's protests and gave Eliseu Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. Eliseu Mendes hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Independente's Adhemar Macedo threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vágner Torres, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Flávio Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Adhemar Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 minutes, Flávio Simões mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independente and the Supremacia Nerd FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Independente's Flávio Simões got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 62ndth minute of the game Zé Carlos Coelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independente's Luciano Magalhães was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Victor Lago charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Lago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Independente! The crowd rose to their feet as Vágner Torres kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adhemar Macedo. That made the score 3-1 in the 78 minute of play. Michel Varela charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michel Varela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Independente! The referee gave Supremacia Nerd FC a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Túlio Amaral, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Independente's Luciano Magalhães. 4-1. Luciano Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gugu do Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Esteves during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 97th minute of the match Gilmar Godoi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adhemar Macedo skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Supremacia Nerd FC's zone, Fred Pitta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adhemar Macedo came out of the goal and Fred Pitta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ian Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 100th minute of the match. Flávio Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 101st minute of the match. Many of Independente's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Independente may have spent more time on the ball, but Supremacia Nerd FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
