União Agrícola Barbarense's Flavinho da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jânio Freitas in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, União Agrícola Barbarense's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Prado came free, but Flavinho da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cléber Mello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basílio de Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. União Agrícola Barbarense's Douglas Tepedino pulled a muscle in his back after 25 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Jânio Freitas charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jânio Freitas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, Catiara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio Freitas to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th match minute, União Agrícola Barbarense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedé Leme to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, União Agrícola Barbarense's goal looked a bit too open when Jânio Freitas came free, but Flavinho da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Catiara's Cléber Mello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Catiara from getting a goal against them. Flavinho da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rony Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Mello having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Catiara's Jânio Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, União Agrícola Barbarense's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Prado came free, but Flavinho da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Vítor Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavinho da Costa having to interfere. With a little luck, União Agrícola Barbarense's Flavinho da Costa got control of the ball when Jânio Freitas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, União Agrícola Barbarense's Carlos Eduardo Damião got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 78th minute, Betinho Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Prado in the 83rd minute of play forced União Agrícola Barbarense's goalkeeper Flavinho da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Jânio Freitas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavinho da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. União Agrícola Barbarense's Flavinho da Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save União Agrícola Barbarense from getting a goal against them. The Catiara supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Catiara would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
