Anselmo Pitta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Carlos Hermes went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Pescoco's Décio Tinoco got a free kick in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Turiassu's goal looked a bit too open when João Carlos Hermes came free, but Anselmo Pitta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardinho Couto kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Pescoco's Ezequiel Campidelis tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Anselmo Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Carlos Hermes in the 27th minute of play. Anselmo Pitta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiquinho do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gerson Dias came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Turiassu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerson Dias couldn't finish the play. Anselmo Pitta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Carlos Hermes went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. João Carlos Hermes might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmo Pitta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Carlos Hermes ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 47 minutes, Chiquinho do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pescoco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chiquinho do Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

In the 51st minute, Davi Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Carlos Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Pitta having to interfere. Chiquinho do Vale in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anselmo Pitta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 61 minutes, Chiquinho do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pescoco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chiquinho do Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chiquinho do Vale got free with Anselmo Pitta in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute João Carlos Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, João Carlos Hermes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anselmo Pitta. João Carlos Hermes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Chiquinho do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Carlos Hermes struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Anselmo Pitta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pescoco. If Chiquinho do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as João Carlos Hermes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anselmo Pitta. That made the score 0-4 in the 92 minute of play. Pescoco played a much better game than Turiassu and deserved their victory. The Turiassu players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
