The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. João Francisco Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Toscano having to interfere. Marcus Quintal might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonas Toscano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcus Quintal ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonas Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Quintal in the 7th minute of the match. After 8 minutes, Valdir da Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NATIVOS and the KatimbeiroS - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 8 played minutes NATIVOS got a freekick which was hit by Valdir da Costa. In the 13th minute Dalmo Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Marcus Quintal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robinho Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Torres in the 18th minute of play. After some careless play in the NATIVOS defense, João Francisco Sanches kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonas Toscano. The NATIVOS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonas Toscano should have stopped the shot. 24 minutes into the game, Moisés Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NATIVOS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KatimbeiroS - FSCMZ the free kick. Moisés Azevedo hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Corrêa in the 29th minute of play forced KatimbeiroS - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Robinho Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, César Torres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Robinho Couto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to KatimbeiroS - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. João Francisco Sanches hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, NATIVOS's goal looked a bit too open when Ernani Linares came free, but Jonas Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Marcus Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Toscano was a little too slow when Marcus Quintal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when César Torres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. KatimbeiroS - FSCMZ's Ernani Linares pulled a muscle in his back after 52 minutes and couldn't finish the game. NATIVOS's Moisés Azevedo got his second yellow card of the match in the 52nd minute. The referee ordered Moisés Azevedo off the ground. KatimbeiroS - FSCMZ's Cauan Marinho was substituted for Ernani Linares. In the 54th match minute, NATIVOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moisés Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Jonas Toscano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, NATIVOS's Dalmo Perez got a free kick in the 71st minute. Válbson Arruda made in the 76th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Valdir da Costa however managed to control. After some careless play in the NATIVOS defense, Olavo Velloso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonas Toscano. The NATIVOS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonas Toscano should have stopped the shot. If João Francisco Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, NATIVOS's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo Velloso came free, but Jonas Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. KatimbeiroS - FSCMZ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
