ChapeTerror's Sandrinho Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Cunha in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the ChapeTerror defense, Perivaldo Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sandrinho Borges. The ChapeTerror fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sandrinho Borges should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Perivaldo Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black Dragons Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Perivaldo Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandrinho Borges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudinho da Rocha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sandrinho Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho da Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 55 minutes, Washington Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ChapeTerror's supporters crossed their fingers, but Washington Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Perivaldo Cunha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sandrinho Borges having to make a save. 67 minutes into the game, Claudinho da Rocha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sandrinho Borges. Claudinho da Rocha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. When Washington Veiga came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the ChapeTerror fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Washington Veiga couldn't finish the play. When Alan de Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Black Dragons Fc's protests and gave Alan de Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. Alan de Queirós hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho da Rocha in the 77th minute of play forced ChapeTerror's goalkeeper Sandrinho Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Black Dragons Fc booed when ChapeTerror was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeu de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perivaldo Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Washington Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gilvan Lago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Black Dragons Fc defense, Gilvan Lago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vágner Braga. The Black Dragons Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vágner Braga should have stopped the shot.
