Bernardinho Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Miguel Vaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SANTOS FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Djow FC the free kick. In the 11th match minute, SANTOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Vaz to maneuver through the defense. If Álvaro Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by SANTOS FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Benjamim de Andrade was slow to take the kick. During this time Djow FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Cauan Maranhense almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SANTOS FC's Maicon Batista did a great save. Gernando Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeremias Couto might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tadeu Marquez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeremias Couto ran back to his position shaking his head. Cauan Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 35thth minute of the game Jeremias Couto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Djow FC's Tadeu Marquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Álvaro Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Maicon Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Djow FC's José Britto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maicon Batista. That made the score 1-0 after 40 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Gernando Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SANTOS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernando Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeu Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeremias Couto was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Djow FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Couto came free, but Tadeu Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The long shot by Bernardinho Silveira in the 60th minute really tested Tadeu Marquez's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind SANTOS FC's goalkeeper Maicon Batista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Djow FC's Claudinei Nóbrega got a free kick in the 76th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Jeremias Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot. SANTOS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremias Couto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeu Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Djow FC's Tadeu Marquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Djow FC from getting a goal against them. After 84 played minutes Djow FC got a freekick which was hit by Cleiton Coelho. With an all-out effort, SANTOS FC's Tadeu Marquez threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gláuber Peixoto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 89 minutes into the match, Djow FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Couto came free, but Tadeu Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gernando Macedo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Tadeu Marquez 94 minutes into the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
