Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeremias Couto to make the kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maicon Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano Pereira in the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, SANTOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Renato Monteiro came free, but Maicon Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, SANTOS FC's Gláuber Peixoto got a free kick in the 58th minute.
