The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Britto to make the kick off. José Britto scored 2-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maicon Batista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th minute, José Britto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tadeu Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Couto in the 61st minute of the match. Djow FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Britto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Jeremias Couto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Tadeu Marquez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Britto during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Djow FC's José Britto got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Jeremias Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Djow FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
