Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Aníbal Varela took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the game, Renato Sena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coastal City S.A.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unidos do Morro the free kick. After 4 played minutes Coastal City S.A. got a freekick which was hit by Renato Sena. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beto Barbosa during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Beto Barbosa hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After 6 minutes, Marcos Custódio made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Coastal City S.A.'s Magno Proença tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gustavo Koehler hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Magno Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleiton Sergipano in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Coastal City S.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Sena to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Nestor de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unidos do Morro's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Magno Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Coastal City S.A.'s zone, Nestor de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magno Proença came out of the goal and Nestor de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cleiton Sergipano might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Magno Proença. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cleiton Sergipano ran back to his position shaking his head. Nestor de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Magno Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cleiton Sergipano struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Magno Proença didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Unidos do Morro. After a defensive mix-up in Coastal City S.A.'s zone, Cleiton Sergipano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magno Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Coastal City S.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cleiton Sergipano came free, but Magno Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nestor de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 39 minutes, Cleiton Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unidos do Morro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cleiton Sergipano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marcos Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Cleiton Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot. The wind increased when Nestor de Barros made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Nestor de Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Magno Proença was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Magno Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Unidos do Morro's Marcos Custódio got a free kick in the 57th minute. Unidos do Morro's Nestor de Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nestor de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Magno Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor de Barros in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Aníbal Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nestor de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacinto Dantas might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Magno Proença. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacinto Dantas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 71st minute, Marcos Custódio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Magno Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute Nestor de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magno Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magno Proença made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Jacinto Dantas sent off a good shot on target. Clemente Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Sena in the 89th minute of play forced Unidos do Morro's goalkeeper Lucas Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cleiton Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magno Proença having to interfere. Unidos do Morro's Marcos Custódio got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Unidos do Morro could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Coastal City S.A. throughout the match.
