In the 8th minute, Faustão Leão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Magno Proença was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 12th minute, one of Coastal City S.A.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Coastal City S.A.. When the match had been going on for 13 minutes, Thunder F.C.'s Falcão da Rocha got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Magno Proença. Magno Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vágner Donato in the 19th minute of the match. Magno Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vágner Donato in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute Aníbal Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrício Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aníbal Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Válbson Mineiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vágner Donato in the 39th minute of play forced Coastal City S.A.'s goalkeeper Magno Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Vágner Donato recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Magno Proença. Vágner Donato showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute, Cícero de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivo Severo's late challenge caught a Thunder F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivo Severo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Coastal City S.A.'s Ivo Severo got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Coastal City S.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Vágner Donato came free, but Magno Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Válbson Mineiro in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Magno Proença prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Silvinho da Rocha's late challenge caught a Thunder F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvinho da Rocha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th match minute, Coastal City S.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvinho da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Cícero de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, one of Coastal City S.A.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Thunder F.C. a penalty, 84 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Falcão da Rocha, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Coastal City S.A.'s Magno Proença. 6-0. Magno Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cícero de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 94 minutes, Vágner Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thunder F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Vágner Donato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Válbson Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Thunder F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Válbson Mineiro couldn't finish the play.
