Spectators: 5400 (Terracing: 4200, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 0) Celso de Mendonça started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Celso de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taderinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Celso de Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noel Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 4 minutes into the game, Enio Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Datas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taderinha the free kick. Enio Barbosa hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Taderinha's zone, Luiz Paulo Salgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cícero Massa came out of the goal and Luiz Paulo Salgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Didi Barreto hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Datas's Luiz Paulo Salgado got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cléber Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th match minute, Taderinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Barreto to maneuver through the defense. When Luiz Paulo Salgado, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 29 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Cícero Massa was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 31 played minutes Taderinha got a freekick which was hit by Cléber Negri. In the 31st minute of the match Ricardo Nóbrega sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cícero Massa skillfully saved the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Paulo Salgado was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Datas got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Souza. A hard shot 55 in the game by Cléber Gonçalves from a close distance when the talented Noel Veiga managed to make a qualified save. Datas's players were relieved. Celso de Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noel Veiga was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cauan França. After some careless play in the Taderinha defense, Luiz Paulo Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cícero Massa. The Taderinha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cícero Massa should have stopped the shot. Datas's Ricardo Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Luiz Paulo Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. After 76 played minutes Datas got a freekick which was hit by Gilmar Maciel. After having played for 80 minutes, Celso de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taderinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso de Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 85 minutes of play Datas's Enio Barbosa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Enio Barbosa hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Noel Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Cléber Negri charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cléber Negri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 92 played minutes Taderinha got a freekick which was hit by Cléber Negri. Taderinha's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
