The tension between the Xexéu F.C and the ArAgOoN FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 13 minutes into the match, ArAgOoN FC's Edmílson Magalhães broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jailson Leite's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonçalo Donatello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Xexéu F.C booed when ArAgOoN FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romário Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dorian Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandrinho Couto having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Betinho Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ArAgOoN FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betinho Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson Leite in the 25th minute of play forced Xexéu F.C's goalkeeper Gonçalo Donatello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandrinho Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorian Passos in the 26th minute of the match. Gonçalo Donatello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Leite in the 29th minute of play. With a little luck, ArAgOoN FC's Sandrinho Couto got control of the ball when Enio Nogueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Xexéu F.C were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after ArAgOoN FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Flavinho Damião took the corner. After taking down the ball on Xexéu F.C's corner Flavinho Damião fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sandrinho Couto quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Xexéu F.C defense, Jailson Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gonçalo Donatello. The Xexéu F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gonçalo Donatello should have stopped the shot. Jailson Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Donatello having to interfere. If Jailson Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Betinho Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot. ArAgOoN FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Betinho Porto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonçalo Donatello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gonçalo Donatello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Betinho Porto's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The Xexéu F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ArAgOoN FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorian Passos to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Rubens de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonçalo Donatello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jailson Leite's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Xexéu F.C's Elano Baiano got a free kick in the 61st minute. Betinho Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Gonçalo Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gonçalo Donatello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Leite in the 64th minute of play. Jailson Leite got in the 66th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Gonçalo Donatello handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Jefferson Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Donatello having to interfere. Gonçalo Donatello was a little too slow when Betinho Porto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 0-2. Jailson Leite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Betinho Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Donatello having to interfere. Jailson Leite had several of the Xexéu F.C's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 86 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Gonçalo Donatello as he didn't even see the shot coming. Betinho Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
