Spectators: 7288 (Terracing: 5468, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luís Paulo Pires started the match with the kick off. When Atlas Sporting's André Penha in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pururuca FC's goalie prevented a goal. 7 minutes into the match, Pururuca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Doni Saldanha came free, but Donato Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doni Saldanha took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donato Souza. Donato Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Atlas Sporting's Doni Saldanha got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 19th minute Luís Paulo Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Saldanha in the 20th minute of play forced Pururuca FC's goalkeeper Donato Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donato Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo Pires in the 21st minute of play. Donato Souza came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlas Sporting's Luís Paulo Pires. But to his dismay, Luís Paulo Pires quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Luís Paulo Pires took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donato Souza. Donato Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. 31 minutes into the match, Paulo José Alagoano notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Pururuca FC's Donato Souza. Donato Souza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 33 minutes into the game, Válbson Bueno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pururuca FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlas Sporting the free kick. The supporters of Atlas Sporting booed when Pururuca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válbson Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Válbson Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Saldanha in the 35th minute of play forced Pururuca FC's goalkeeper Donato Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 minutes of play, Atlas Sporting's Luís Paulo Pires made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Souza was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pururuca FC's goalkeeper Donato Souza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th minute Doni Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Cléber de Salles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donato Souza. Pururuca FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cléber de Salles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. After 46 minutes of play, Atlas Sporting's Cléber de Salles made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Souza was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-10.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arthur da Mata stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luís Paulo Pires's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Donato Souza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlas Sporting's André Penha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Donato Souza. That made the score 0-11 after 54 minutes of play. Pururuca FC's Donato Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Pururuca FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Pururuca FC's Kiko Rodrigues got a free kick in the 59th minute. Wesley Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Donato Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donato Souza made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Doni Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. Paulo José Alagoano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Donato Souza made a huge save. After 64 minutes of play, Atlas Sporting's André Penha made it 0-12 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Souza was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute, Lúcio de Queiroz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donato Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-13. In the 75th minute Lúcio de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlas Sporting's Cléber de Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donato Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donato Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Saldanha in the 82nd minute of play forced Pururuca FC's goalkeeper Donato Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Paulo Pires's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Donato Souza firmly grabbed it by the left post. With an all-out effort, Atlas Sporting's Donato Souza threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Doni Saldanha, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luís Paulo Pires scored 0-15 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Donato Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th minute, Luís Paulo Pires ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donato Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-16. Atlas Sporting's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
