If Luís Paulo Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Luís Paulo Pires sped through Vikings FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Guilherme Peixoto. Luiz Guilherme Peixoto was a little too slow when Luís Paulo Pires got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 4-0. Luís Paulo Pires who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Luiz Guilherme Peixoto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Atlas Sporting booed when Vikings FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesinha Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Luís Paulo Pires sped through Vikings FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Guilherme Peixoto. Doni Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Doni Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jeremias Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Paulo Pires who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Luiz Guilherme Peixoto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 41 minutes of play, Atlas Sporting's André Penha made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Guilherme Peixoto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luiz Guilherme Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Penha in the 45th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Paulo Pires to make the kick off. Luiz Guilherme Peixoto came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlas Sporting's Luís Paulo Pires. But to his dismay, Luís Paulo Pires quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 61st minute, Luís Paulo Pires left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlas Sporting fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Doni Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Peixoto having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Vikings FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Paulo Pires came free, but Luiz Guilherme Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cléber de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 minutes, Luís Paulo Pires made it 13-0 with a short kick to the right side. Vikings FC's Luiz Guilherme Peixoto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luís Paulo Pires might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Guilherme Peixoto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Paulo Pires ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Luís Paulo Pires's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Guilherme Peixoto was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. André Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
