Spectators: 7195 (Terracing: 5398, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arthur da Mata started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Monjolada SS got a freekick which was hit by Rony de Amaral. A collision led to Monjolada SS getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Rony de Amaral hit a great ball. Válbson Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Nuno Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 minutes of play, Monjolada SS's Nilson Rocha made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Souza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kiko Rodrigues might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Eger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kiko Rodrigues ran back to his position shaking his head. Nuno Eger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arthur da Mata in the 25th minute. After 26 minutes, Nilson Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monjolada SS and the Pururuca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arthur da Mata could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Nuno Eger made a huge save. 2-1 came in the 40th minute when Delfim Prata all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Nuno Eger. If Hermínio Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Pedrão Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kiko Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Válbson Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Nuno Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 75 minutes, Mané de Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monjolada SS and the Pururuca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedrão Moura, 84 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The supporters of Monjolada SS booed when Pururuca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurinho Custódio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedrão Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Delfim Prata walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When Pedrão Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Pururuca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedrão Rocha couldn't finish the play. Nuno Eger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arthur da Mata's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. 99 minutes into the match, Vitinho Medeiros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donato Souza. Pururuca FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vitinho Medeiros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Pururuca FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
