Luís Paulo Ortiz was a little too slow when Nilson Rocha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Horácio Félix's late challenge caught a Tracuateua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horácio Félix helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 minutes, Iuri Tande mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tracuateua and the Monjolada SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Tracuateua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iuri Tande to maneuver through the defense. Vitinho Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Luís Paulo Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Paulo Ortiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vitinho Medeiros in the 18th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tracuateua fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! Vitinho Medeiros struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Luís Paulo Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monjolada SS. Nuno Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Tracuateua booed when Monjolada SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermínio Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rony de Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rony de Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th minute of the match Franklin Soeiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nuno Eger skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Monjolada SS's Rony de Amaral got a free kick in the 40th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vitinho Medeiros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Monjolada SS! The goalkeeper, Nuno Eger, was totally fooled by Tracuateua's Franklin Soeiro, who 56 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 59 minutes of play, Tracuateua's Gonçalo Prestes made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nuno Eger was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 63rd minute Iuri Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Nuno Eger throw himself and got hold of the ball when Iuri Tande in the 69thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 73rd minute, Vitinho Medeiros made a precise shot to the right of Luís Paulo Ortiz. Tracuateua's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitinho Medeiros in the 78th minute of play forced Tracuateua's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Iuri Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonçalo Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Nuno Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hermínio Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 played minutes Tracuateua got a freekick which was hit by Percival Corrêa. Luís Paulo Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitinho Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
