An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor França in the 3rd minute of play forced Ibituporanga's goalkeeper Eliézer Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flávio Cardoso couldn't finish the play. Almir Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséias Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Ibituporanga's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor França came free, but Eliézer Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oséias Romero made a kick off. Flávio Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Almir Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Dorian Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
