Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kauan da Rocha in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliézer Falcão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 6th play minute Flávio Cardoso came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Humberto do Nascimento. 1-0. Eliézer Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauan da Rocha in the 12th minute of the match. Flávio Cardoso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Humberto do Nascimento having to make a save. 18 minutes into the match, Ibituporanga's goal looked a bit too open when Kauan da Rocha came free, but Eliézer Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliézer Falcão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Oséias Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Kauan da Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliézer Falcão was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. EC Ajax SRCB's José Maria da Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ibituporanga's Eliézer Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauan da Rocha in the 39th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Ibituporanga's goal looked a bit too open when José Maria da Cunha came free, but Eliézer Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cláudio Veiga during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cláudio Veiga hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Alfredinho Palmeira made a great header on Ibituporanga's corner, it was just that EC Ajax SRCB's Humberto do Nascimento managed to reach the ball for a save. Humberto do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flávio Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Maria da Cunha was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. EC Ajax SRCB's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Maria da Cunha in the 63rd minute of play forced Ibituporanga's goalkeeper Eliézer Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Eliézer Falcão successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Maria da Cunha in the 66th minute of play forced Ibituporanga's goalkeeper Eliézer Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Flávio Cardoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot by Gildo Eger from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Eliézer Falcão's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Kauan da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, EC Ajax SRCB's José Maria da Cunha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eliézer Falcão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kauan da Rocha got free with Eliézer Falcão in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ibituporanga's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The EC Ajax SRCB supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing EC Ajax SRCB would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
