Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Fábio Tavares was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Guairas's Raúl Velasco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gino Koehler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The supporters of Juncal booed when Guairas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmir Maranhense didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Raúl Velasco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guairas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. When Erik Camargo came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Guairas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Camargo couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute, Raúl Velasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juncal's Gino Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Camargo in the 79th minute of play. Erik Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erik Camargo struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Gino Koehler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guairas. 95 minutes into the match, Juncal's Sydney Torres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Florentino Llope narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
