The supporters of Juncal booed when Clube Atlético Serrano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldinho Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Serrano's goalkeeper Silas de Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sydney Torres. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Serrano's Daniel Pombal got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 18th minute, Sydney Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Clube Atlético Serrano's Silas de Queirós got control of the ball when Sydney Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Luiz Fábio Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute of the match Duda Neves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gino Koehler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Osvaldinho Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Gino Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldão Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Juncal's zone, Sílvio Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gino Koehler came out of the goal and Sílvio Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 35 minutes of play, Juncal's Sydney Torres made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silas de Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gino Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafa Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Silas de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silas de Queirós made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Sydney Torres sent off a good shot on target. Sydney Torres might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silas de Queirós. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sydney Torres ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 49th minute Luiz Fábio Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silas de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Fábio Tavares was the one to do the kick off. Clube Atlético Serrano's Silas de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Tavares in the 54th minute of play. In the 54th minute, Luiz Fábio Tavares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silas de Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Luiz Fábio Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silas de Queirós having to interfere. Gino Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 2-1 became the score in the 72nd minute when Sílvio Mendonça elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sydney Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Silas de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christiano Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Gino Koehler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Atlético Serrano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fábio Tavares in the 89th minute of play forced Clube Atlético Serrano's goalkeeper Silas de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Juncal's Osmar Bezerra broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 95 minutes of play, Juncal's Luiz Fábio Tavares made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silas de Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Juncal had won after a very even match.
