In the 9thth minute of the game Jacinto Arce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caratacá E.C's Marcelo Branco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcelo Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodriguinho Aguiar in the 10th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cesinha Breckenfeld during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcelo Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rodriguinho Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Fazenda Petrolina F.C's Jacinto Arce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Branco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Caratacá E.C's Marcelo Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Arce in the 44th minute of play. Rodriguinho Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
