With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raul Bitxintxo in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tales Santos saved Comando Máfia Azul from getting behind. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Raul Bitxintxo sped through Comando Máfia Azul's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tales Santos. Fermin Havier came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tales Santos could save by the left post. A collision led to Comando Máfia Azul getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. João Carlos Donatello hit a great ball. Carlos Fernando Salgado came free in the 20th minute and tried to tip the ball over Tales Santos, but to the joy of Comando Máfia Azul's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Tales Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fermin Havier in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Birigué fc booed when Comando Máfia Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Galvão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tales Santos didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. Tales Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Bitxintxo in the 34th minute of the match. Fermin Havier might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tales Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fermin Havier ran back to his position shaking his head. Tales Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fermin Havier in the 37th minute. Tales Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raul Bitxintxo's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Roberto Vides was the one to do the kick off. Rogério Freitas might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredinho Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rogério Freitas ran back to his position shaking his head. Tales Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermin Havier, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Comando Máfia Azul's João Carlos Donatello got his second yellow card of the match in the 55th minute. The referee ordered João Carlos Donatello off the ground. João Carlos Donatello hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Carlos Fernando Salgado struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Tales Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Birigué fc. Alfredinho Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Fermin Havier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Santos having to interfere. Rogério Freitas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute, André Fernandez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Birigué fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Fermin Havier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carlos Fernando Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Tales Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Comando Máfia Azul's zone, Fermin Havier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tales Santos came out of the goal and Fermin Havier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute Raul Bitxintxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tales Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tales Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermin Havier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Birigué fc were the better team. Birigué fc's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
