After having played for 3 minutes, Raúl Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guairas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raúl Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Guairas fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Guairas's Erik Camargo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 7 minutes, Bernardinho Arruda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guairas and the Birigué fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Guairas's Bernardinho Arruda got a free kick in the 7th minute. Florentino Llope made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Bitxintxo in the 9th minute of play. Raul Bitxintxo kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. When Guairas's Erik Camargo in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Birigué fc's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Camargo in the 16th minute of play forced Birigué fc's goalkeeper Alfredinho Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Birigué fc's Raul Bitxintxo in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guairas's goalie prevented a goal. In the 25th minute Raúl Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredinho Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Guairas's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Bitxintxo came free, but Florentino Llope reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredinho Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Raúl Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredinho Amaral having to interfere. After 36 played minutes Guairas got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Domingues. Alfredinho Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Velasco in the 41st minute of the match. Alfredinho Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Birigué fc defense, Raúl Velasco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredinho Amaral. The Birigué fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredinho Amaral should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raúl Velasco was the one to do the kick off. When Leonardo Guedes came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Birigué fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Guedes couldn't finish the play. Guairas were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Birigué fc's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Raúl Velasco took the corner. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Birigué fc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Raúl Velasco was slow to take the kick. During this time Guairas's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Guairas's corner Raúl Velasco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alfredinho Amaral quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Guairas booed when Birigué fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Havier didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Raúl Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Arí Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Guairas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arí Travassos couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raúl Velasco got free with Alfredinho Amaral in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 68 minutes, Fermin Havier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birigué fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fermin Havier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredinho Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Camargo in the 70th minute of the match. Alfredinho Amaral was a little too slow when Erik Camargo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Guairas's Erik Camargo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfredinho Amaral. That made the score 0-4 after 81 minutes of play. Erik Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erik Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredinho Amaral having to interfere. The Birigué fc fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Guairas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
